I’m on a mission… to bring big, saucy subs to the heart of Williamsburg Brooklyn.

Inspired by my love of sandwiches, baking, fine cuisine & heavy metal, Mission Sandwich Social brings together many of my passions—and the best Dutch Crunch bread this side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Before Mission, I was chef de cuisine at iconic NYC hot spot, Beauty & Essex. I was also executive chef at Mira Sushi & Izakaya. I’m obsessed with unexpected, over-the-top flavor combinations and I’m not afraid to bring the heat.

You may have even seen me beat Bobby Flay with my Korean BBQ Short Ribs on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay—but you’ll have to taste the Steve Byrne sub at my shop to believe it.

When I’m not in the kitchen, you can find me on stage or in the studio, playing lead guitar with my metal band, Loss Becomes.
